Would it be possible to have notes for the lectures more in advance? The reason I ask is because our supervisions are quite early (with hand in of work before the 6th, 12th, 18th and 24th lecture for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th supervision respectively) and it means looking up topics that we will be taught in future lectures anyway. I know students from other colleges are also in a similar position.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying the course with the printed notes and this blog. I hope more lecturers follow your example in the future!

I have now posted notes for Lectures 1-6 which is all you need for Sheet 1. Since this is the first time I am giving the course, I do not have the full set of notes ready at this point. I want to see how it is going - how you respond to each lecture. That said, I will try to keep posting a week ahead. But please allow me some slack, in that I may wish to revise the notes after I have given the lecture. For example, in today's lecture, I subsequently noticed that I could do a better job of saying why I_n is decreasing in n. Students another year will have a different experience ... but you have the fun of accompanying me on the maiden voyage.
